Gas pain keeping us up all night

My 19 week old baby has been struggling with painful gas for weeks. He wakes up frequently throughout the night in crying pain, with a bloated tummy. We try bicycle kicks, tucking his legs in and out, belly massage, tummy time. Sometimes it helps get gas out or a big poop, but sometimes he arches and cries in pain with anything I try.

We tried Mylicon with no success. He takes a daily probiotic (Biogaia) for over a month but we haven’t noticed improvement.

Because my baby is exclusively breast fed, the pediatrician advised I stop eating dairy for 4 weeks to see if that helps. We are 13 days into dairy elimination and he still seems to be in a lot of discomfort. I’ve read soy is often the culprit too, but may need to wait to try eliminating that until after this 4 week test.

He also refuses bottles so I can’t easily switch to formula to see if a dairy free option helps. I know I have a strong let down and try different positions to try to avoid him sucking too much air, but it’s possible that nursing is causing issues.

Any ideas, thoughts, or recommendations on how to help the baby feel better? We are desperate for sleep! And I want him to feel better, of course. Thank you!

ISO the holy grail for dry skin

I have always had dry skin, but now I live in the mountains and am postpartum / nursing and it’s reached a whole new level. I’m 35 and eat healthfully, but I will admit I could hydrate better. My face feels so tight and uncomfortable, and the dryness makes my fine lines look so much worse. Please help me find something that will help my face!

What I’ve tried recently:

- Yay For Earth (I’ve loved this for years but sometimes it clogs my pores) https://yayforearth.com/products/1oz-sensitive-skin-face-lotion

- Bright Body toner, hydrating gel and serum (liked during pregnancy but it’s not cutting it postpartum) https://mybrightbody.com/collections/face

- Whipped tallow (feels nice but no change) https://kingshomestead.com/products/radiance-tallow-balm-blue-tansy-neroli-treatment

Criteria:

- clean ingredients

- hoping to not spend a fortune

- ideally simple (not a multi step routine) but I am open minded

Thank you!
