Have a 2014 2.0 limited. It was running fine then all of a sudden when I was cruising it randomly started losing power and shut down. I got it towed home and it said crankshaft position sensor. So I replaced it. And the starter was burned out so I replaced it. When I finally got it started it was knocking. After some diagnosing I thought it was either the timing chain or a rod knock. I opened up the oil pan and dropped the pump and looked at the connecting rods and caps and they seemed fine. No play that I could tell. So I moved forward and replaced the timing chain and oil pump chain.
Only to start it and hear the SAME NOISE 😡😡😡. At this point I’m convinced it’s most likely a rod knock or bearing. Question is, is it worth repairing/ replacing? I’ve looked around and cannot seem to find many 2.0 parts or engines anywhere.
