Im just really trying to understand what happen because clearly Connie was suppose to be his love interest but it never went anywhere. Its like after Connie returned from being away, all the momentum Daryl and her had went out window. They had him getting with that Leah chick and then would tease Carol and him.

I hate to be that person but ableism is real. I do wonder if the actress being deaf played more of role into it because for them to truly have a successful pairing, Daryl would need to be able to communicate with her fully and maybe NR wasnt up for the challenge because he would have to really take some time to learn some ASL if they went fully canon. Im just speculating as I dont know what happen, but it just makes me wonder.
