Ham arrives on day 9! I think I’m pretty happy with how this drawing turned out.
I’m excited to bring you more crew members soon (and later other characters)! I’m also aware, that I’m a bit behind schedule, but hopefully I should manage to catch up soon enough.
I have set a drawing challenge for myself where / am going to draw a Mistborn Era 1 character during every day of May (I call it MistMay).
The point of this challenge is to show my appreciation for these awesome books and also to draw these characters as I imagined them while reading.
Because of that I am basing the appearance of characters purely on the text of the books, ignoring any existing official or unofficial artwork. So if you notice any inconsistencies compared to official artwork, you know why that is.
We have HOA Elend as our first “spoiler artwork” for Day 6! This was a lot of fun to work on, I think I’m really getting to enjoy drawing flowy clothes!

On day 5 we finally encounter Elend, probably looking at Vin for the first time.
Moving forward I will no longer put characters’ names in post titles in order to avoid spoilers (and to add that extra bit of suspense of course).
After 3 days I finally get to draw the man himself! The mistcloak took quite a lot of time on this one.

For Day 3 l am depicting Vin as Lady Valette Renoux, specifically from the last ball of The Final Empire where she saves Elend's life.

For Day 2 I am once again drawing Vin, but this time as her Mistborn self.

**For Day 1 I am depicting Vin as she appears at the beginning of the story.**
I will also explore some of Vin’s other appearances in the coming days.
Almost all of them look so colourful and visually distinct from each other, and they really aid the show’s often over-the-top dramatic feel. I also really like how a lot of them basically feel like modernised versions of traditional noble clothing, since the series takes place in an alternative present.
