Gruv Day this Friday

Any particular titles you hope to pick up in the sale this Friday? Personally, I’m hoping they put some shout titles for sale for under $20. I know that’s a long shot though based on past sales.

Tonight’s first time watch.

I love The Wild Bunch so I’m hopeful that I’ll enjoy this one by Peckinpah!

Saddest moment in the history of the show?

For me, I’m gonna say when Eric the Midget died. It was brutal when Johnny and Jon were getting choked up on the phone about it. You can tell it got to Robin as well cause she didn’t hear the news till Howard announced his death on air. I miss the little guy.

Obsession (2026)

This is a movie that needs to be watched at the theatre. The reaction to it at my local theatre was amazing. A mixture of squirming in your seat and laughter. It’s a great movie!

Favorite show of the year so far?

Pretty strong year so far for TV shows. I think my absolute favorite so far is DTF St Louis. It’s certainly the best bromance I’ve seen so far this year. Great performances all around. I’d like to know some other choices for best show of the year so far.

August Announcements

Anyone know if we should be expecting some announcements this week? Also, any predictions for what titles we may expect? I know August is usually a light month for criterion title announcement but I’m predicting they will finally announce Deliverance.

Looking for Mr Goodbar Ending (SPOILER)

I just watched this film for the first time last night. I enjoyed the movie overall, but that ending has stuck with me. Is that not one of the most grim endings of all time? The 70s definitely had a lot of downer endings to movies. Also, Diane Keaton is the hottest I’ve ever seen her in this one and gave a hell of a performance. Crazy she also was in Annie Hall in the same year which she won a he Oscar for best actress for.

Bonnie Mund

Did we ever get to see what Ronnie’s first wife looked like? I wanna know what kind of tail Rickey Man was pulling before the Stern show fame.

Anyone else listen to Eric the Midget clips on YouTube to fall asleep? I have a playlist I use every night and it works like a charm. His voice is weirdly soothing. ACK ACK

This is a show I’ve been wanting to watch for a few years now. I never really hear anyone talk about it much. Thoughts on this show and is it worth checking out?
