What's next for Frost Fans:

What's next for Frost Fans:

The weather is beautiful in the twin cities this week. Local Frost fans might find themselves frolicking through spring flowers or basking in the glorious sun. Hockey season is over, but summer is beginning, and that's personally a W for me.

But if you find yourself looking for your next Frost hockey fix, here is what you can look forward to:

Somehow they are able to have the Walter Cup Finals with out us? Didn't know they could do that. Watch it or no, PWHL hockey will conclude next week. Game 5 is still TBD, but Game 4 is scheduled for 5/22

May 28th is when expansion teams will be able to start signing players. Frost can protect 3 signed players. We can't lose more than 4 players during this window, but those 4 losses will likely be heartbreaking. Honestly, I don't have a great grasp on how the Expansion Not Draft works this year, but I expect to be coping with some ice cream treats and long, introspective walks.

The PWHL Draft and End of Year Awards is happening in Detroit June 16 & 17. There will be lots of excitement as we see our new rookies and watch the new expansion teams take shape. See all the players that have declared here: https://www.thepwhl.com/en/news/2026/may/12/2026-pwhl-draft-eligibility-list-features-record-number-of-player-declarations

Da Beauty League is back! No official dates posted yet, but their Instagram has confirmed there will be a 2026 season. For those unfamiliar, Da Beauty League is made up of NCAA and pro players and takes place Wednesday evenings at Braemar Arena. There are two men's games and one women's each week. It's low stakes, has some fun rule changes, and is a good way to cool down and enjoy some hockey over the summer. Based on last year, games should start early July.

PWHL 2026-2027 will probably start in November. This time, with 12 teams! That's DOUBLE what we started with. That means more games, more goalies, more fun! And hopefully, more Walter Cups in Minnesota.

we will be doing a little bit of tweaking rules and such on the sub this summer. after the draft, I'll make a "State of the Sub" post for feedback on new rules and formatting. for now, be good, please don't go to other teams subs and chirp, and enjoy some warm weather

Mod Note About Tickets

Hey all! Posts selling tickets keep getting reported. I appreciate everyone who helps out by bringing issues to our attention, but posts selling and giving away tickets do not break sub rules. This rule has been the same since we started this sub. Unfortunately, Ticketmaster does not have a resale option for the Frost games, and posting on social platforms is really the best way to get tickets to fans.

I plan on allowing posts selling and giving away tickets until either a better resale option is available (not just stubhub), or it becomes a flood of posts every game. I feel like we have an acceptable amount of posts about this, but am willing to hear people out if they feel like this is a problem.

Thanks!

Frost v Vancouver is the last game of the regular season. So long to a season full of draft expansion heart ache, record point scoring, big injuries, and 6 Olympic gold medals.

Frost enter the post season as one of two teams to make all three playoffs. We are ripe for the three-peat! We want cup!!
