Hello everyone,

Disclaimer: I'm a total noob in game development, zero experience. But I have decent skills in programming and grasping concepts quickly.

I have been thinking about developing a fighting game, it will be a 3rd person pov, parkour style, and will use walls and jumping in the game to hit your opponent.

What I think it is unique about it is the controls will be very complex. Pressing X will not simply hit the opponent at the same location and laterality. You will be able to control to hit left/right sides and head/body/legs. Blocking will also be effective only if you target the same location and laterality of the hit. So if player 1 hit left torso, you have to block left torso to negate 100% of the damage, if targeted left head, and blocked left torso, you will block 50%, and 0% if blocked left leg. Also I want to walk on the wall and jump to create a momentum. I want to maneuver in the air so you can hit the player without blocking effectively.

I know this is complex already, and I don't think it was done before.
Do you think it is a feasible project? How long do you think it will take me to build such a game if I worked on it as a hobby? What are the major challenges?

Appreciate insights.

Hello,

I would like to get your feedback about my medical app.

So why not just use medcalc?

What I think is special about it is that it is tweaked to be more convenient to everyday use, has more calculators at one place, and other resources such as dialyzability of medications, abx dosing, mg <-> meq conversion, nutrition content, UA gallery, and landmark studies.

For example, as most nephrology fellows and above know, hypernatremia management is not just water deficit (Current Na/Target Na) -1 * TBW), because there is also ongoing insensible losses, and free water clearance..etc. So in post ATN hypernatremia in ICU, you will have to account for the other losses.
For hyponatremia, there is no available calculator that gives you the total amount of hypertonic fluids, and the rate needed to achieve the goal at the same time.

and my other example.

The nutrition guide is very helpful, as it can make you answer nutrition questions in seconds.

iOS version:

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/pocket-nephrology/id6761730764
Android version:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mahfouz.pocketnephrology&pcampaignid=web_share

I'm pricing it at 4.99$. Please DM for promo codes to get for free. I want an honest opinion, and what it can be improved or added. Is the price too high?/too little?. You are more than welcome to submit your UA slides, which you will get credit for.

Thank you.

Hello, I know I'm late, but given that my j1 waiver was not accepted I'm thinking of doing another fellowship. I already did a fellowship with a subspeciality. Ill apply for O1 visa, too. What are the available options and how do I get a list?

Thank you
