Hey y'all. My name is Josh Schroeder and I produced the new Frozen Soul record (No Place Of Warmth) that dropped today. AMA about the making of the record and other records I've worked on or video games or pinball.
So a quick little tidbit about making this record. A lot of it was recorded live in the studio, everyone jamming together, with no click. We did a lot of writing in the studio, so a lot of parts needed the click, because it was so new to everyone, and we wanted the tempo just right, but I also wanted to keep that push and pull feel a lot of older deathmetal records have.
All the guitars are live amps. The drums are all live, no samples. Besides the kick trigger.
We had a lot of fun making this one, so I hope y'all enjoy it.
