Need a step by step guide on how to get the Rare Candy cheat to work (or any other cheat or means of bypassing the grinding of hours and hours for levels) on Emerald Legacy Enchanced

I'm on Emerald Legacy Enhanced and the grind is getting a little too tedious.

I tried to get the SmithPlays Rare Candy cheat from the description of his video to work, but it didn't work for me...

Then I read a comment on Reddit of someone using a cheat where he buys an item from the Pokemart and that item transforms into Rare Candy, but it seems it didn't work for me.

Not really sure what I'm doing wrong, here are screenshots of my Emulator (Pizza Boy).

Thank you

So I was watching this film the other day, and in the scene where Cruz's character is talking to his pianist friend in a bar, there's this expression, and I'm wondering what's the closest synonym in this case:

Cruz: What's the big mystery?
Friend: Hey man, I just play the piano.
Cruz: Nick, I'm sorry, is there something I'm missing here?
Friend: I play blindfolded.
Cruz: What..?
Friend: I play blindfolded...
Cruz: You're putting me on...

Cambridge's online dictionary have many meanings about that one here: https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/put-on

And one of them is: to try to persuade someone that something is true when it is not, usually as a joke... which seems kind of convoluted to me and I have a hard time inserting that definition into the conversation they're having... I couldn't find synonyms on their page too..

Two questions: 1 - Can someone give me a synonym please ? Preferably an expression ?
2 - Is that more of a British or American expression? Thank you

PS: Here is their conversation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ktiy57gF7EM
