Building a mega base is a really fun way to extend your playthrough
I'm on my second playthrough of Subnautica. It, understandably, took me much less time to complete the main story, so instead of building the rocket, I decided to mess around and build a big base in the Lost River, using only resources I can drill there. I used the fabricator in my Cyclops for 1 computer chip, but other than that, I built it from scratch without taking any resources from the Cyclops or the previous base. I didn't really have a "theme" in mind, I just wanted to keep building and see how it turns out. It was actually super fun. Along the way, I also challenged myself with creating an aquarium containing every fish that you can catch or hatch. Definitely recommend it, it's cool that the game lets you do all this.
