Should I give Pocketbook another chance?

I’ve had two pocketbook devices: Pocketbook Basic 4, and the Pocketbook Verse.

I loved the former device a lot. The performance and screen was great, but it was a model with no WiFi or touch so I wanted to upgrade to something more convenient. I upgraded to the Verse and I was really disappointed in my experience. The screen somehow looked worse/more murky, and the device was so slow and frequently crashed, it was almost unusable. The buttons felt horrible and one of my page turn buttons was more loose out of the box, I had no faith in their longevity which was concerning. I know a downside of Pocketbook is the large withdrawal of battery in sleep mode so with my Basic I had made a habit of powering off between use, but on the Verse this wasn’t feasible because of the flimsy power button at the front and how long it took to wake.

I thought about switching to Kobo or Kindle but they are more limited and they suck to use for European libraries. I’m wondering if the issues I observed with the Verse are normal/common or if I got a dud. Would you recommend another Pocketbook device?

I’m 3 years post my primary septorhinoplasty, and all in all it was a bit of a fail. My nose is really unevenly contoured from frontal view and one side looks collapsed, my tip has gone one side and my columella is hanging/really prominent.

I’m having a difficult time looking for reliable revision surgeons who can address those issues. So far I’ve looked into Dr’s Pietro Palma, Dirk Menger, Enrico Robotti, Priit Kasenomm, Guillaume Carles, and Thomas Jacques.

Firstly, the former two seem to have a lot of botches/unsatisfactory results. I’ve followed Dr Robotti and seems very active and knowledgeable in the field, and he seems great for really complex cases but I don’t know if he is a suitable surgeon for my case. I’ve noticed Italian doctors tend to be aggressively minimal, and they generally don’t touch up the tip at all which was an issue from my last rhino which left me with a prominent, bulbous, and drooping nasal tip (coincidentally also operated by an Italian doctor). I’ve noticed the same tendency in Robotti’s work, which is okay for most patients who don’t need it but maybe not for me.

I’m leaning heavily towards Dr Kasenomm because his revision work looks aesthetically great from multiple angles, but I’ve also seen some mixed reviews there. Jacques has a solid track record, but *almost* too solid because I can’t find one bad or mixed review while I’ve seen some comments about him aggressively deleting negative feedback, which is almost worse?

So, overall idk. Anyone European here who can share any revision rhino success stories? I really hate my face and I cry every night. I need hope 🥲
