I would like it if one of Carmilla's daughters checked into the hotel

First off I want to say that these girls are both absolute nothing-burger characters who really only exist as plot devices for Carmilla, but i feel like doing this could make at least one of them more interesting. As for which one checks in, well they have no real character rn so really just pick whichever one who's design you like more, which would prob be Odette for me.

I think if one of them checked into the hotel it could actually be an interesting conflict for Carmilla, because all we see her really talk about is wanting to protect her daughters. Like what would she really think about one of them checking into the hotel? Is it safe in her eyes? Does she want them to remain as one unified family?

Also as for Charlie, I know the show is almost definitely going to go in the direction of her immediately forgiving Carmilla, but for the record I do not like this direction and I think that she should be more angry about Carmilla using her dad as a battery for a superweapon named after her mum. Like she should not like Carmilla, and I stand by that. As for Charlie, you could almost paint her as an almost maternal figure to Odette/Clara, taking the softer approach that we saw Rosie take with her in s1, not the more tough love approach we see Carmilla take with Vaggie.

As for why they check in, we see in s2 they don't agree with the decision to build the M.O.L, or at least it seems like they don't. You could play with the idea that one of them is having a crisis of conscious, and feels terrible about the murders that Carmine Industries has facilitated and thus tries to seek redemption. It could also work to remind the audience of the fact that as much as she claims moral superiority, Carmilla is an Overlord just as violent and vicious as any other.

I know they probably wont do this because of run-time, but i think its an interesting idea.

I think this scene could've actually worked if they put more time into Charlie in s2

Cards on the table, I do not like this scene, I think it makes Charlie look overly sensitive and like an asshole. But i actually see the vision for the scene and think it would've actually done well as a boiling point for an arc that Charlie didn't really get in season 2.

The show has a couple of scenes that point to the idea that Charlie is under a lot of mental strain throughout season 2, like at the very start of the season when Vaggie comes up to get her to go and talk to the press, or in the tent scene leading into 'Easy'. I think its an interesting idea and one that could actually help explain Charlie's actions a lot beyond the explanation that the show gives, which feels like its just 'Charlie's dumb lmao', but unfortunately it gets no real space and time to do anything, which is a missed opportunity imo as it could've helped make Charlie a bit more sympathetic, because it would've recontextualised a lot of her stupider decisions (like going on 666 news with Niffty) as the increasingly desperate actions of a woman who's mentally falling apart instead of her being stupid.

As for this scene I think if they had it be the culmination of Charlie's mental unravelling then it would've been much better imo. It would've made sense imo as well because we've basically seen Charlie take L after L and her dad has done essentially nothing to really help her, because even if his and Vaggie's plan worked then it would undermine the very idea of the hotel and honestly wouldn't really help Charlie that much. If they went this direction they probably would've had to make the scene a little more intense with having Charlie and Vaggie butt heads, but I think it could work.

Hot take: I think the plot point of Vaggie hiding who she was from Charlie didn't really make sense

Like obviously the plot point of her being a former exorcist isn't bad, but the show don't really do a lot wit it and also the idea of her hiding it is really weird, and only serves to make Charlie look like an idiot imo. Like how did she not realise this sooner? Did she not see the literal golden blood? Or see that Vaggie blushed gold? Or ask her about her background at all given that we know Vaggie isn't a good liar? Or the fact that she looks way more human than most sinners? Or the fact she just randomly has an angelic spear that she carries around, something that Carmilla also points out? I just think it makes her look like an idiot and honestly a bad girlfriend who doesn't really know a lot about her partner. I mean we don't even know what Charlie thought of Vaggie before she found out Vaggie was an angel. What did Vaggie tell her she was as a human? What did Vaggie tell her that she did in her life?

I think this is a case of the writers thinking of the cool idea of 'oh what if Vaggie was secretly an angel?' and then kind of tried to shoehorn it into the plot in a way that unfortunately comes off as awkward imo.

My potentially hot take is that i actually would've preferred this the other way around, and have it be Charlie hiding who she is from Vaggie till it's revealed in the courtroom. Like it would make sense for Charlie to hide that she's Lucifer's daughter from an angel, ans it would explain why she lives in such a run-down hotel given that she's on pretty decent terms with her dad and we know she's rich (the plot point of her poor relationship with her family was scrapped after the pilot i think). Though it would probably change how the show plays out a lot, so idk.

What do you think is your favourite character's favourite sweet treat?

Just thought of this on a whim, and was curious to ask.

I'll start: I think Rosie's is probably Victoria Sponge given that she's kind of a Victorian woman.
