Me and my partner beat honor mode last night! I’m still not sure how we pulled it off but man what a rush. I really did not think we were going to do it.
Firstly, our plan was to have Gale blow himself up. However, since Lae’zel was in our party, Orin kidnapped Gale. We passed the check at the beginning of the cutscene but we got super unlucky with initiative rolls and Orin steam rolled us. Luckily, we kept one party member outside so we didn’t lose the the run, but Gale full died with no chance of resurrection.
It was fine, whatever, we’ll just have to fight the brain. Then, without thinking, I got so blindsided by my romance with Lae’zel that I sided with Orpheus, meaning the emperor and our dream visitors were waiting for us on top of the brain. I thought that was our final mistake, yet somehow, we pulled it off! Got the achievement and finally got to see Lae’zels romance conclude. Absolutely beautiful.
