Peter & Gordon is underrated and they deserve more recognition.
Peter and Gordon are a 60s band that has the members; Peter Asher and Gordon Waller. They are most famous for their songs, a world without love, woman nobody I know, Lady Godiva, etc. In my opinion, besides those few songs, they are very underrated. They have so much better songs that show of how they are a great pop duo. Their harmonies are really unique and a really good, especially during their mid career. In my opinion, they are one of the most best vocal harmony groups of the 60s, maybe the best. Especially during their album Lady Godiva. The Beatles covers they do are truly a work of art. Till there was you has harmonies that make me levitate because they’re so good and incredible.
Like I said about those songs that are popular, most of them are from the very early days of them. The early days are OK, but in my opinion, and they are better during their mid career, especially their later career. My personal favorite albums are hot cold and custard, in London for tea, and Peter and Gordon (1966). I especially love when Peter gets on the lead vocal action, he is truly a great singer, and I’m glad that he ends up singing main on some songs. A great example of this is if I fell, black brown and gold, any day now, and a taste of honey. talking about main vocals, Gordon’s voice is such a great voice. It should be appreciated more. Whenever I mention, Peter and Gordon, to any elderly people, they only know the early stuff. And whenever I show them their mid to late stuff, they are mind blown. Like I said, a world without love and nobody I know are great songs, but there are better songs that I think should’ve been way more popular and appreciated.
