Switching from Trintellix to Lexapro after 2 months — too early to give up?

I started taking 10 mg of Trintellix for a month to treat anxiety and panic attacks. I then increased the dose to 15 mg for another month. Today I went to see my doctor to switch medications because I feel the effects are either insufficient or are actually making my anxiety worse. He suggested switching from Trintellix to 5 mg of escitalopram (Lexapro).

I’m worried I’ve wasted time or that I’m stopping just before things start to get better. Any thoughts on this? Should I continue taking Trintellix for a few more weeks? How many more weeks?

Thank you very much for your time

Hello,

I took 10 mg (Brintellix - vortioxetine) for 26 days and 15 mg for 15 days to treat anxiety. I have few side effects other than nausea and some fatigue (though the fatigue was already related to my anxiety). But I haven’t seen any positive effects so far. For those of you who have seen an improvement in your anxiety thanks to this treatment, how long did it take?
