Random chaotic folders keep getting randomly created at iCloud root

Hi! I've been using iCloud+ for I don't even know how long and I've never had the issue I've been having for the better part of a month now.

At my root folder (Finder > iCloud), I have folders that keep appearing. If I delete some, others arrive. They're either empty or not, but they seem to be folders that were actually created either by me or from a download or an App somewhere else on my iCloud.

In root, if one's empty, the original one (where it's actually supposed to be) contains files. If one has files on it, then the original one doesn't. Sometime the root one has part of the orignal files, and the real folder has the rest.

Sometimes it's fonts, some other are about pictures (folders I've created after scanning film like "Leica M6 - Fomapan - 2023"). Sometimes it's folders like "png" that I don't even know where they were copied or cut from, certainly from app folder but I have now way of knowing which one. I, for example, also have one that only contains the artwork for some sound design elements I've bought. The rest of what I bought is where it's supposed to be (minus the artwork).

Has anything like this happened to you? I've done some research but as you can see it's tough explaining this in a Google search. Claude couldn't help either, appart from having me check if I have recent Apps that have had access to my iCloud, but I only have the main Apple ones.

Here is a screenshot of part of the root folder.

Any help is welcomed.

I use iCloud+ on Mac, iPhone, iPad and Windows. I know Windows can be laggy but I spent a year without any trouble after buying a PC. Also, I use Docs & Desktop in iCloud.

Thank you!
