I had both my knees replaced, but a few years apart. That was hard enough! Now a friend is asking me for advice for a double TKR and I’m not sure what to tell her.

Those of you who have done a double—did you need in home overnight help? How are you able to get around, are you completely bound to a wheelchair for some amount of time?

I can give her advice on pain meds, icing, etc but i would love to hear any advice specific to a double. Thank you.
