What if Tom and Raquel were still together and "in love"?

Would the public perception be different? Would people have got over their hate by now?

I think Raquel ditching him and the show completely got her more hate than if she chose to stay on. It made their affair seem dirty, and their "love" not real.

If these 2 had stayed together, got married maybe, had a couple kids, crafted a redemption arc for themselves, maybe they wouldn't be as hated today? People love love. Would they be on "The Valley" alongside Schwartz?

Idk thoughts?

Edit to add: People forgave both Jax and Kristen, who cheated with each other. Also lied about it for months. Kristen was Stassi's best friend, Jax was Sandoval's best friend. It was bad, but they all got redemption arcs, and went on to be on reality TV for years after.

I wonder if they would have stayed on for another season or 2, would they have been forgiven too?

Lisa as a business owner... (TomTom)

  • Free Name Rights: Lisa used their name, and likeness... for free. (TomTom is a great name btw, works even for people who don't know the show.)
  • Got paid: Got THEM to pay her for working on her restaurant, named after them.
  • Good Storyline: Singlehandedly created a new interesting storyline for the show she produces.
  • Free Publicity: Also, got free publicity for the restaurant she owns on the show she produces. If it was not for TomTom, she would have had to pay for all the publicity.
  • FREE FREE FREE: She got free brand ambassador, free labor, free publicity, free storyline for her show she owns. She makes money for the show, money for the bar, money for the publicity.
  • Personal PR: All the while being portrayed as a kind and generous human.

LOL WHAT

Idk if I'm impressed, or terrified at how ruthless she is lol.

Do you think they knew how BIG this show was about to become?

They all look so sweet and naive in the first season. Lol, relatively speaking. Now they're all so full of themselves, it's exhausting.

Back then, I don't think any of them had any idea where their life was headed. Or did they? Did anyone? Did the producers? Did Lisa?

People who watched this in real time, did you know this show was going to blow up the way it did? Did it feel big?
