I have a huge hill, four energetic kids and no idea where to start! Would you start at the top and work down or make some smaller trails down low and work up?
Hey everyone, I posted in the MTB sub and got some great tips but now I’m trying to make a plan. Post is here with photo of the area https://www.reddit.com/r/mountainbiking/s/UNtgUxdcPQ
It’s huge, steep in parts, 50 m elevation, and has heaps of features, its undulating and curves around, with deep valleys/drops in parts and flatter undulations in others. I’ll post a pic of the satellite view here. It’s about a hectare in size, so pretty massive.
Any tips to get started? Just get up there and start digging?
There is a wide old farm track that runs along the bottom, I was thinking king of starting there to get the feel for it then get a bit more ambitious later on. Soil is clay, rock hard in summer and sludge in winter (coming into winter now). Thinking of renting a bobcat before it gets too wet.
Any recommendations for the basics maybe on YouTube?
Thanks so much
