Ford LNT 8000 - Snowplow
I’m torn on this kit.
On one hand, I absolutely love how it turned out, and it’s super cool. All the parts are really nice, little to no flash etc.
On the other hand, the instructions for this kit where the worst I’ve seen so far (this is only my forth kit however). The 300+ parts are not numbered in the directions, so you have to use the picture and find it on the spree tree. And not all the photos make the size obvious. Multiple times I thought I was looking for a much larger part or vice versa.
The frame rails, and every panel for the dump bed was warped and took multipul boiling water dunks to get them into a usable state.
All said and done, I enjoyed most of the time I spent working on this over the last 3 weeks. Only part I actively didn’t have fun on was the mirrors. I ended up not using the top support brackets for them, just wanted to be done with them.
