What do you think about underground rap,often shortened to UG rap, thats popular with gen z/alpha ? Examples like Osamason, Che, Xaviersobased, Nettspend. Mainstream rap has been feeling kinda stagnant, and i see more of this 2020s wave of underground rappers get popularity. I think it has interesting ideas but they feel ‘undeveloped’ for reasons i find hard to articulate. Only underground rapper i really love is Bladee but he’s been making music for a decade. There are many artists who are way too abrasive for the mainstream, like 2slimey or bleood, but others I feel might have a chance at mainstream success. I don’t think that UG will be the future of rap but it might have some influence on it.

Inspired by the questions i got on my previous post, how much do you think there is an dominant culture? Could there practically be 50 different countries? Is there lots of diversity on a state level or local/individual level?

Also I’d like to know why you think that way

edit: lets say we measure cultural similarity in how the US is similar in macroculture to Latin America or Europe, otherwise it’d just depend on which kind of immigrant culture you have in an area.

I have some issues with my family that are just too fundamental for a confrontation to have any use, so I’m thinking of just leaving one day without them suspecting anything. Although I wanna hear from people who went No Contact without any signs/warnings that they were going to do so. Is this a good idea? Anything that went wrong?
