Any advice? This’ll be my first graft.

Got my first glorp recently, and I’m trying to decide how I should graft this.

I want to keep it in as big a piece as possible, but I’m definitely thinking I should cut it an inch or 2 up so there is a more stable base.

Then graft the lil bottom piece to something else.

Also does this thing look like it’s going to crest/dicot to anyone? Or is it just glorpin lol

Found on the beach, where a stream meets the ocean, CA central coast.

Razor doesn’t scratch it, not sure how well it shows up. But there look like slight “bands” or layers in it, going perpendicular to what seems like “up”

For years I’ve been thinking it was like, a meteorite. That hit some pool of lava that was quartz. Which made it cool down with these weird impact lines. But I’m also just a stoner😂 so if anyone has seen something like this I’d love to hear about it

Found in the middle of the trail while out on a hike.

Central coast CA. Lots of oak, manzanita, sage, lupine

Obviously none of those. It’s the size of a small acorn. But it’s super not an acorn.
