Airedales: is it separation anxiety or is it FOMO?
Help me settle a debate with my husband! Our cutie dale is BESIDE HIMSELF if he can see me or hubby going off to do something without him- examples are leaving him in the car to go into the store, or standing somewhere outside the fence interacting with the neighbors. He will absolutely caterwaul, sometimes to the point of outright howling.
However, we leave him at home every day for work, and he is just fine. He’ll dig sometimes (but who among us, amiright) but doesn’t spend the day howling and never engages in big destructive behaviors that would indicate separation anxiety.
My hubby insists that his petulance at being left out is separation anxiety but I’m convinced it’s just FOMO, and my stance is that this is a common Airedale behavior! They’re secure that you’re coming back but they’re just MAD they’re being left out!
What do my dale people think??
