My 14yo came down from her internet cave tonight and curled up with me while we watched the end of a jurassic Park movie. It felt lovely. Just sharing.
You wake up one morning as the most amazing version of yourself. You're fit and healthy, you're amazingly good looking, you feel fabulous.
There's a note on your bedside table. It says you can stay just the way you are right now but you will never be able to speak again. You will age normally but always look amazing for your age. Your vocal cords will never work again. You can communicate in different ways like writing and sign language. There are no other catches. You have 10 minutes to decide.
This is irreversible. Once you decide, that's it. If you decide not to take the deal things go back to normal immediately.
Do you take the deal or not?
This isn't a question or a rant, I just found it funny. Right now I sleep in a room that has the pc in it. I'll be sleepy and want to go to bed early but daughter is still playing on the pc. So I'll crash on the couch for an hour then go up and send her to bed. I'm an older mom, I'm almost 50, she's 14. I didn't think this would ever be an issue lol!
Home made, very tasty and very easy!
Prep: Bake some potatoes, scoop out the insides and mash till smoothish. Cook some bacon till crispy. Grate a cup of cheddar cheese. Slice some spring onion for garnish, even though it's garnish it tastes so much beret with some.
Recipe
Melt a quarter cup of unsalted butter in a pan and stir in a third of a cup of flour to make a roux, cook for a few minutes then add 4 cups of milk, just a little at a time to start with till it comes together.
Add finely chopped herbs, I used parsley. Also season at this point with salt, black pepper, white pepper.
Stir mixture till it thickens a bit. Stir in potatoes and cheese until all combined and the cheese melted.
Taste and add more seasoning if needed.
Take off heat, stir half a cup of sour cream through it. Serve generously sprinkled with spring onion and bacon.
