[Mod things]
Everyone,
Another update from your friendly Mod Team (it's just me, I'm the whole team).
Now that we've grown to over 1,500 visitors a week, we've become a target for scammers. I'm receiving about one message a week about people getting scammed here and I want you to know that I'm working hard to address this problem. Unfortunately, I have a full time job, I'm a husband and a father and I do my best to keep up with things.
What I've implemented today:
Automoderator to post a link to the universal scammer list in every post. Do your due diligence for buying and selling. It also posts best practices for using a reddit exchange in the same comment.
Flair is now mandatory on your posts - it's how the automod works and made creating the automod easier.
What I'm currently working on:
A feedback system that works automatically and updates user flair appropriately. It's a lot of coding (thanks Claude), and I'm having to learn a new skill to make this work. The one's I've seen work are very slick and give a lot of confidence when you see someone with many successful transactions.
Please give me any other ideas you may have for ways I can make the community better!
