[spoiler discussion] predictions beyond arc 10 ch 21

Russell:

seems to not be behind the shenanigans. i think he is definitely working with false information though, but i don't think he'll try to betray Subaru. he'll definitely meet his downfall given his past though, it will be interesting if he goes down as a good guy and subvert the villain expectations

Miklotov:

named chapter coming, and the missed conversation with Subaru too, this time with the real one. we don't know how many of the existing council members are real, and about time for Cor Leonis

Emilia:

this is the arc she realizes her feelings but also says the third trial line in an effort to push him cuz of rhe mess he'd gotten in for her. we'll get much needed POV of her thinking about Subaru, and maybe even a scene where she talks about him the way Subaru did about her. a lot of people think Tappei will chicken out, but there is no reason to, given this is not Vollachia side story or Aldberan lore stuff. the royal selection and the decisions she makes regarding it are intimately tied with Emilia's progress as a character and her relationship with Subaru. in ever arc pre arc 7, there has been key pivotal moments in their relationship

Sirius:

she sends the capital into a frenzy from the top of the castle

Ferris:

foreshadowed in Ex 1 and given Russel's abducted him, he will he forced to do something nasty for Crusch's sake. worst case he will be forced to use water magic for torturing someone, or incapacitate the sage council. it is said Ferris can do this shi if he's treated someone before, so yeah. i have a theory that the person he will torture is Subaru (but not bc he got Gluttonied)

these are some of the stuff i'm confident about, li'l lazy to add the rest

[spoiler discussion] "Emilia takes too long to confess" arc 10

i think the story and their relationship is a lot more interesting because she hasn't confessed yet

her confession and feelings are directly tied to the plot and grander lore of the story, so "why hasn't she confessed yet" sort of misses the point IMO

rather than a confession, i want Emilia to feel like a real character where her actions speak for themselves instead of the very forced and artificial glazing Tappei did right after she does the Subaru pose in the recent arc 10 chapter. what was the need for it? she would have seemed way cooler without that glaze!

what we want is for her to have conflict with her own camp on important matters. with arc 10 the stakes are real unlike in Vollachia where her main role was fighting all her major decisions were more combat oriented, so i think it's fair to have high expectations for arc 10
