Switched from a Straight Talk Galaxy A42 5G → Straight Talk Pixel 10a (new SIM, Straight Talk on Verizon). Didn’t disable RCS on the old phone beforehand... NOW I KNOW that I should have done that, but what is done is done. 😐

Since switching a WEEK ago, RCS in Google Messages won’t activate. Straight Talk's tech support is completely worthless. I've been using ChatGPT to help keep track of what I've done and offer solutions. I had it generate a summary below.

**What I’m seeing:**

* Started as **3001 (activation ongoing)**

* Now consistently **“Not supported” – Code 4002**

* SMS/MMS work fine

**What I’ve already tried:**

* Used Google’s RCS deregistration tool

* Cleared cache / force stop Messages

* Verified number is correct (+1 format)

* Turned off Wi-Fi, used mobile data

* Left RCS OFF for **48 hours**, then retried

* Checked Google account → multiple “verification in progress” entries - got that down to one Pixel 10a in my list of phones. Also got rid of my old phone showing up there.

* Contacted Straight Talk multiple times. They tried having me remove a physical SIM and use an E-SIM instead. None of that worked, and I went out and bought a new physical SIM, and factory reset my phone. (That's how I ended up with three Pixel 10a phones in my list of phones in my google account, but like I said above, that is back down to one).

* Had them do a **network reprovision + IMEI re-registration**

* Rebooted and retried → still 4002 immediately

**Current status:**

* Pixel 10a

* Straight Talk (Verizon SIM)

* RCS = **Not supported (4002)** no matter what I do

**UNASHAMED CRYING AND BEGGING FOR HELP 😳:**

My old Samsung Galaxy A42 5G had RCS working perfectly fine before I switched phones.

H E L P ! ! !

I'm very tech savvy, but I am at my wits end and want to move on with life. This has been a long week!
