1 month with eero Pro 7 on a 10Gbps isp line , honestly didn’t expect this

Been running the eero Pro 7 for about a month now on a 10Gbps internet plan here in Singapore, so figured I’d share a more “long-term” take instead of first impressions.

Speed test from the eero app today:

~8.5 Gbps download

~7.4 Gbps upload

This is over WiFi, not wired.

Setup & stability

Setup was super straightforward (took <5 mins) and I haven’t had to touch anything since. No random disconnects, no weird drops and it’s been very “set and forget”.

Real-world usage

Honestly, you don’t really feel 10Gbps in daily use since most apps don’t use that much bandwidth anyway, but everything is just consistently fast:

Apps load instantly

No buffering at all (even with multiple devices streaming)

Very stable during peak hours

What surprised me

I didn’t expect WiFi to actually hit these kinds of speeds. I always thought anything above ~1–2Gbps would be hard to achieve wirelessly, but this setup proved me wrong.

iPhone screen protector black border too thick — normal or defective?

Just installed a tempered glass screen protector on my iPhone (Pro Max), and I noticed the black bezel/border looks quite thick.

It seems to slightly intrude into the display area — for example, the scroll bar and content don’t reach the true edge of the screen. Everything is aligned properly, so I don’t think it’s an installation issue.

Is this normal for some screen protectors, or is this considered a poor cut/defective product?

For those using good-quality protectors:

Does your black border sit exactly on the bezel?

Or is there always some level of screen coverage?

Trying to decide if I should just live with it or request a refund.
