What made you go with the Searwood and why? I have a recteq 590 I’m looking to replace and debating between the Searwood and a backyard beast 1200.

Purchased a 590 in November of 2021 and it was solid for about 4 years, since then it’s had pretty constant issues which recteq has no questions asked taken care of even to this day when I’m out of warranty.

However, it’s like almost everytime I go to use my grill something else is wrong so at this point I’m ready for something new that will just work.

I’ve been debating a backyard beast 1200, or a Weber searwood xl…. Talk me out of the searwood

Which one and why? This will be replacing a Recteq 590 - served me well for years but it has been having constant issues for the past year or so, which recteq has been great replacing parts under warranty and out of warranty for me but at this point I’m tired of messing with it - I just want something to work.

I’ve had a Recteq 590 for years now and it’s been great but after about 3 years it started giving issues and while the warranty has been great and they’ve taken care of everything, I’m out of warranty and having some more problems. Suggestions for a new smoker?
