With popularity of xteink (in its own niche), i was wondering would it be possible for a device which can simply attach itself to a mobile and copy the screen. So it does not require a battery or a full fledged soc so it can have extremely thin profile.

It will attach through usb c consuming mobile's power and some scrcpy like program to simply clone the screen. So essentially your regular oled / lcd will become an ereader.

This should potentially even be more cheaper than xteink with lot more horsepower and storage (based on your phone) or you can simply convert your old phone to an ereader
