Telus Scam?

Telus copper home phone lines being decommissioned in the neighborhood, so telus installed fiber on their own, no charge to me.

Before making the switch, in the initial verbal appointment, they said there would be no plan changes, everything would be the same.

I also checked the telus website: https://www.telus.com/en/internet/fibre/fibre-upgrade which says "There will be no changes in the cost of your existing services unless you would like to change or order additional services" (this was the only thing in writing that said there would be no other changes in cost)

I didn't change or order anything else, so my plan should have stayed the same.

So on my first bill, they changed the plan without my authorization/permission. It would have been a bit cheaper for a while due to the discounts but would have been a hefty increase after the discounts expired, compared to the original plan I was previously on.

I wanted to stay on the original plan.

After 2 online chats, 1 live person call, no results. They would not change anything, the unauthorized plan prevailed. Nothing but doubletalk, they wouldn't uphold their own printed website or what the initial agent said.

After 4 hours, being calm, polite, I asked to be transferred me to a manager, which they did. The manager actually fixed their mistake, put me back on my original plan, honored their own website and what the initial agent said.

Just writing this to warn others, before switching, to document everything and watch for unauthorized plan changes.

Does you adblocker block ads and popups this website?

Website in question:

https://www.pcgamesn.com/

In firefox with the adguard extension, I get popups and ads.

In firefox with UBO, I still get popups and ads if the uBlock Filter list is not enabled. All the other UBO filter lists seem to be ineffective.

If anybody has Brave installed, does it block it?
