While other cities are banding together to push back against mass surveillance, Columbus seems to be sitting idle on this subject because of the data center. We can walk and chew gum y’all. Election cycles are great opportunities to bring up these issues.
There are countless cases of cops stalking exes, love interests and strangers and recently in Dunwoody GA it was used to surveillance young girls in a gymnasium. There is no regulation behind these cameras and they sell our data without our permission.
Let’s get our contract cancelled and get these things off our streets.
