Do we think Neil has a late-career ‘final album’ masterpiece in him à la Rough And Rowdy Ways or Blackstar?

When I say this I mean an album that is not only great, but also a critical and commercial smash. I have seen this type of question been asked about Neil among other artists, and I think it is an interesting question. I don’t really see Neil as someone who would want to put out a ‘last album’ in the sense that it would be a career spanning look back on his music, discussing mortality and life, like Bob Dylan did on RARW or Bowie on Blackstar. I feel like Neil is just going to keep releasing and making the music he wants to make, not necessarily thinking about what the ‘last one’ would be. The closest he got to this was probably Prairie Wind from 2005, when he was facing some serious health issues and the recent passing of his dad.

I’ve only picked about 25-ish, not all of their live albums as there are just so many, but here are my choices feel free to share yours:

On Air - Cops And Robbers
Got Live If You Want It! - Get Off Of My Cloud
Rock ‘N’ Roll Circus - Sympathy For The Devil
Get Yer Ya Ya’s Out! - Sympathy For The Devil
Roundhouse 1971 - Live With Me
Leeds 1971 - Let It Rock
Marquee Club 1971 - Midnight Rambler
Ladies & Gentlemen - Bye Bye Johnny
Brussels Affair - You Can’t Always Get What You Want
Love You Live - Sympathy For The Devil
Earls Court 1976 - Sympathy For The Devil
El Mocambo ‘77 - Crackin’ Up
Some Girls In Texas ‘78 - Shattered
Still Life - Going To A Go-Go
Wembley Stadium ‘82 - Time Is On My Side
Atlantic City ‘89 - Sympathy For The Devil
Flashpoint - Ruby Tuesday
Stripped - Wild Horses
Totally Stripped (I’m combining all 4) - Not Fade Away (Amsterdam)
Bridges To Bremen - Saint Of Me
Shepherd’s Bush - Moon Is Up
Wiltern ‘02 - Stray Cat Blues
Havana Moon - Out Of Control
Hackney Diamonds Live Disc - Sweet Sounds Of Heaven

I know many of you will probably disagree with my pick for Ladies And Gentlemen but I just think that version of Bye Bye Johnny rocks so hard and I like the band introductions too, Charlie pissing Mick off is so funny
