The last time I saw it in theaters was in 2008 on opening weekend with my family. My dad watched speed racer as a kid back in his country (they called it Meteoro) and then he bought some VHS’s and showed my sister and I. I fell in love with the show and I was genuinely one of the only ones in my friend group who loved the movie. Now here we are, 18 years later, im watching it in the same theater that I saw it in all those years ago with my partner who loves this movie as much as I do! I wore my 90’s thrifted shirt and they also used the original poster for our theaters showing! So cool!!
