West Belconnen - March 2029?!

Hey folks,

I'm in West Belconnen ACT, and have been waiting for FTTP since at least 2023. Just wondering if anyone has thoughts about the ETA. Surely it's not actually going to be another two and a half years more before I get FTTP?

Also, my service gets at most 45 Mbps, which is well less than what's possible with 'fast' FTTN plans. As such, I'm on a 50 Mbps plan. Yet, in order to be able to trigger an upgrade, I need to be on a 100 Mbps or higher plan. Do I change my plan manually to the higher plan, trigger the update, and change it again once switched over? Or is there an allowance for services that can't physically achieve higher speeds? I don't want to switch and pay extra for something I can't use, but I also don't want to miss out on that free upgrade.

Why couldn't they just have gone with fibre to begin with?!!!!
