Recently acquired a Marty along with an FM Towns tower computer. PC works great! But in the Marty, the disc doesn't even bother spinning, leading me to believe the laser is dead. I'm aware Deunan no longer produces the ODE, and finding any lasers at all is virtually impossible.

Am I out of luck with this one?

I'm going to try to work on this idea, but seeing as a ton of NES units suffer from a dying or dead PPU, I wonder if it's possible to rig a programmable chip to an NES in place of a PPU as they get harder to find?

Maybe theyre not fast enough and this is a dumb idea
