The chests should could as looted the second you open them, not once you take everything inside

With how limited inventory space can be, there’s often times things I find in chests that I just don’t want to take, but the chest won’t count as looted until you take everything out, so you have to do some silly shuffle of dropping items, clearing the chest, dropping those, picking up the items you do do. It’s just a waste of time, and serves no function or theme. Inevitably there is going to be 20 comments telling me I’m just complaining, but little things like this add up and make the game more frustrating and tedious than it needs to be.

I think you should get more than the base materials back when dismantling a fully leveled price of gear.

It find it discouraging to level up a new armor set, weapon, ship part, etc cause it just feels like you’re just throwing away all the resources you spent on the stuff you already have. I get that most of this stuff isn’t that hard to come by, but it still adds extra grind and I feel like theres a fair middle ground to be stuck. Maybe not 100% resource recovery, but like 70%??

I just fully leveled my canons and bracing, then got my rep up with a few factions and got new parts. Now I need to basically scrap what I just spent all that time upgrading, and get 1/5 of the resources back, and do it all again for a canon that isn’t even stronger but has an ability that seems mediocre at best. It really makes me want to just stick to the stuff I have and not experiment with different loadouts.

Also, side annoyance: it’s dumb that the game let me spend 1000 silver in a Brig when I can’t even craft it until I get to the next area and get iron, and didn’t offer any warning about that. Would definitely have used the silver for other stuff in the meantime and got the ship when I could actually build it.
