Was running some errands around West End this arvo and wanted a quick lunch. Decided to check out [Montjoie Pattiserie](https://maps.app.goo.gl/KFPp4mW4UbUCQrDF8) .
Ordered the ham & cheese savoury crepe, $13. The gentleman behind the counter asked if I wanted a buckwheat crepe, sure, why not.
Came out quick, nicely hot, and larger than I thought. Very crispy, I liked the light rye texture + gooey cheese and nice quality ham. Appreciated how they added a bit of cracked pepper. Super simple but wholly delicious.
Might make another post if I go again and try some of their sweets. Any recs?
Edit: thanks u/dog-dinosaur who pointed out this is a *gallette bretonne*, a traditional French savoury crepe made with buckwheat from Brittany (hence the name). Apparently the complete version (which they did have) traditionally comes with extra mushrooms, spinach and a sunny side up egg in the middle. TIL!
