Male and female Palestinians describe brutal sexual abuse at the hands of Israel’s prison guards, soldiers, settlers and interrogators.
The assault victims were warned not to give speak of what they endured -- they were sometimes told they would be killed or raped if they gave interviews -- but they found the courage to do so.
Sami al-Sai, a 46-year-old Palestinian freelance journalist, said guards beat him, stepped on his head and neck, stripped him naked, and tried to force a rubber baton into his rectum before one guard shouted in Hebrew: “Give me the carrots.” He said guards then assaulted him with a carrot while laughing. “It was extremely painful,” he told Kristof. “I was praying for death.” A female guard allegedly grabbed his penis and testicles and joked: “these are mine.” Al-Sai said guards later left him handcuffed on the ground during what he realized was “their smoking break.” When he was finally dumped into a prison cell, he said he discovered “other people’s vomit, blood and broken teeth” crushed into his skin. He told Kristof he believed the abuse was partly intended to pressure him into becoming an informant for Israeli intelligence.
A Palestinian farmer held for months without charges under administrative detention said guards pinned him down by his arms and legs, stripped him, and raped him with a metal baton while “laughing and cheering.” Hours later, after collapsing and briefly being taken to a prison clinic, he said guards raped him again with the baton. “I was bleeding,” he recalled. “I broke down completely. I was crying.” After he asked for pen and paper to file a complaint, guards returned to his cell later that evening. “Who is the one who wants to file a complaint?” one mocked before the farmer was beaten and raped a third time. Another guard allegedly told him: “Now you have even more to put in your complaint.” Days after speaking to Kristof, the farmer reportedly withdrew permission to use his name after a visit from Shin Bet officers warning him not to “cause trouble.”
A 23-year-old Palestinian woman arrested after October 7 said Israeli soldiers threatened to rape her, her mother, and her young niece during her arrest. She told Kristof male and female guards repeatedly stripped her naked, handcuffed her behind her back, bent her over toilets, beat her, and groped her body during repeated “searches.” “They had their hands all over my body,” she said. “To be honest, I don’t know if they raped me,” because she sometimes lost consciousness from the beatings. “It was as if they were introducing me to everyone who worked there,” she said. “At the beginning of each shift, they would bring the guys to strip me.” Before release, she said six officials warned that if she spoke publicly “they would rape me, kill me and kill my father.”
▪️A Palestinian journalist from Gaza said guards zip-tied his penis and testicles for hours while beating his genitals so badly that he urinated blood for days afterward. “No one escaped sexual assaults,” he told Kristof. “Not all were raped, I would say, but everyone went through humiliating, filthy sexual assaults.” He also alleged that while blindfolded and handcuffed, guards summoned a police dog that mounted and penetrated him while guards photographed the rape and laughed. “They were using cameras to take photos, and I heard their laughs and giggles,” he said. After release, he said an Israeli official warned him: “If you want to stay alive when you return, do not speak to the media.” Despite the threats, he said he spoke publicly because “there are people still in there.”
▪️Three Palestinian teenage boys detained by Israeli authorities described sexual abuse, beatings, forced nudity, and repeated rape threats directed at both them and their mothers. One 15-year-old boy told Kristof guards routinely threatened detainees by saying: “Do this or we’ll put this stick up your butt.” The boys described rape threats and sexual humiliation as routine parts of detention.

Sexual violence against Palestinians in Israeli prisons and detention centres constitutes a de facto state policy, used as a tool of subjugation and destruction, with a sharp escalation and the removal of prior restraints since 7 October 2023.
A new Euro-Med Monitor report, titled “Another genocide behind walls”, documents widespread patterns of sexual violence, including rape, against detainees from the Gaza Strip, describing it as a tool of destruction aimed at breaking individual and collective will
The report cites direct sexual assault, assault with objects, and torture targeting the genitals, as well as organised practices such as filming and the presence of multiple security personnel, which reinforces evidence of the institutional and systematic nature of these crimes
43-year-old Wajdi, who spent a year in detention, said: “They tied me naked to a metal bed [...] then a soldier raped me. I felt severe pain in my anus and screamed, but every time I screamed, I was beaten. [...] Later, they untied me and brought a dog, which also raped me.”
Torture against Palestinians seeks to inflict “psychological destruction” that strikes at the foundations of the human personality. Sexual violence is medically and legally recognised as one of the most severe causes of complex post-traumatic stress disorder (C-PTSD)

Why are properties so expensive in Guntur?
An old house for resale in a decent area (not posh location) 1350sq ft is sold for 90L G+1.
If I put some more money, then I can get a relatively new G+3 building in Bangalore city centre with Kaveri water, 700sq ft carpet area, again in the heart of blr city.
Why is real-estate so costly in Guntur? Any price crash or correction that we are to face for Guntur properties?
Genuinely had one of the worst interview experiences recently. I’m not a developer but work at a manager level in tech- Data and AI.
So I just got out of an interview where the questions were pre-written by an AI, and the interviewer was basically just sitting there, reading questions which I’ve on screen and scoring my answers against some pre-decided rubric.
Like they already had the “right” answers before I even walked in.
I’ve worked on actual projects, made real decisions, dealt with messy situations that don’t have textbook answers. And none of that came up because the questions weren’t designed to go there. It was just read question, answer question, get scored.
Why interview and not let me talk about my skills and experience?
At some point I realised the interviewer wasn’t really listening to what I was saying. They were just checking whether my words matched whatever the tool told them a good answer sounds like.
It felt so weird. There’s a human in the room, we’re technically having a conversation, but it’s not actually a conversation at all.
I would’ve preferred a written test honestly.
I don’t know who this process is designed to help. Doesn’t seem like it’s the candidate. Not sure it’s even helping the company find good people.
Feels like it exists so someone in HR can say the process is “standardised.”
Anyone else dealt with this recently? How did you handle it?

Two years ago, this was recorded. Two years later, the world is still watching.
Palestinian civilian men. Stripped. Executed. On camera.Documented footage, and still, no accountability. No consequences. Nothing.
Old, disturbing footage belonging to Israeli forces who turned a stadium in Gaza into a mass detention camp. Hundreds of civilians detained including women, the elderly, and babies.
@EuroMedHR has confirmed that Israeli forces forcibly removed civilians from displacement centers, stripped them, and carried out executions in the field in Gaza.
The ICJ has ruled. Governments have issued statements. Experts have used the word genocide. And yet here we are.
Global order is clearly not protecting innocent Palestinians.
Share this and Stand with the people of Palestine, because right now, visibility is the least we can offer them.
Remember their faces. Say their names. They were someone’s father, brother, son.
🖤 Add a black and white filter if reposting because the scenes look disturbingly close to 1942. Except this is happening now.

"Oh Allah, save me!"
Police brutally beat a Muslim man on charges of cow slaughter.
Three individuals have been arrested on charges of slaughtering cows. In the footage, police are seen beating one of the arrested accused with sticks.
https://www.ahmedabadmirror.com/public-flogging-returns/81912963.html
The police have maintained a tight silence. Advocate Nauman Ghanchi, who represents the accused, told Mirror that police picked up five individuals in connection with a suspected cow slaughter case. “Two of them were Sajid Qureshi and Raees Shaikh, a father of two small children from Fatehwadi in Sarkhej. They were first taken to the spot where the alleged material was recovered and then brought to Sonal Cinema,” he said.
Accused tied to bonnet, beaten in public view
“Two police personnel held Raees Shaikh’s hands to the bonnet of a police vehicle, clearly visible in the video and thrashed him mercilessly. These men were only suspects.
The main accused had already fled the spot when the alleged cow progeny remains were seized,” Ghanchi alleged. Sajid Qureshi was also beaten, the lawyer said. “In another video, a police personnel can be heard saying, ‘Now do you remember anything or not,’ while assaulting him. Sajid is now living a peaceful life, but the trauma remains,” he added.
The accused were formally arrested only on Tuesday morning and produced in court. “They were threatened not to speak about the thrashing before the court,” Ghanchi alleged. “The police have threatened the families that if they file any complaint, their children will be implicated in other cases and they will face serious consequences,” he said.
Family members of Sajid Qureshi and Raees Shaikh are reportedly living in fear following the incident.
“Beating and flogging suspects in public can never be justified. One of the police personnel seen in the video already faces a pending inquiry in an alleged custodial death case. We urge police to take strict action against those involved,” Ghanchi said.
The occupying state is still holding Saif and Thiago, whom it abducted in international waters.. Saif and Thiago are still deprived of food up to this moment. Disturbing accounts of severe mistreatment Is reported.
Abu Keshek and Ávila were kidnapped alongside 170-odd activists when Israeli forces hijacked the flotilla off the coast of Crete on 29 April. While the remaining activists were released to Greece, the two men have continued to be held without charge on concocted terrorism allegations.
The two activists were participating in a peaceful solidarity mission aiming to break Israel's unlawful blockade of the #Gaza Strip and deliver aid to Palestinians struggling to survive under Israel’s genocide and unlawful occupation.
They are at great risk of human rights abuses, including torture and other ill-treatment at the hands of the Israeli authorities
It is especially concerning that Saif Abu Keshek, a Palestinian-Spanish-Swedish national, is being detained on suspicion of affiliation with a terrorist organization given Israel's discriminatory laws and persistent record of harassment and oppression of Palestinians under Israel’s system of apartheid. Israel must immediately release them and ensure they are protected while in custody.
Israel’s defiance of international law must end. The ICJ has been clear: Israel’s #occupation is unlawful and must be brought to an end. States must act now to restore some faith in international law by holding Israel accountable for its violations and crimes.
Israel’s abduction of flotilla activists Thiago & Saif near Greece sets a chilling precedent: that it can seize anyone, anywhere, and hold them hostage indefinitely. What other norms will be obliterated to protect genocide?

A 16-year-old Muslim boy, Ayan Saifi, was stabbed to death by assailants, a video of which has surfaced. He repeatedly pleaded, "Save me, brother, save me."

In East Delhi’s Trilokpuri, 16-year-old Ayaan Saifi was allegedly stabbed to death by a group of 6–8 attackers near a local park. His family claims he had no direct involvement in any dispute but was still targeted, and that he had earlier received threats with complaints made to police. His mother, in an emotional appeal, said he was her only support and demanded justice. The family has questioned the pace of action, comparing it to other cases, and is seeking immediate arrests and strict punishment.

On one of London's train journeys, a woman believed to be of Indian descent directed a racist comment at a Muslim man of Arab origin, telling him to return to his country, such as Morocco or Tunisia.
The man felt deeply insulted by her rude manner and firmly responded, explaining that he is British and born in the country, and informing her that he would hand over the video to the relevant authorities.
At that point, the woman's attitude changed noticeably, with signs of confusion and fear evident on her face, after she realized that her behavior could land her in legal trouble, turning the tables and leaving her in a difficult position as a result of her actions.
