I ran a mock draft today, here are the results (explanation in the description)
Round 1 - Keldric Faulk (Auburn EDGE): Not quite sure how he was available at 25, but I would take that 100%. Yes, his last season numbers at Auburn weren't great, but he was coming off a great year, and I think his tape was better than the results. He's got one hell of a motor, great arm length and is a good athlete. He can play inside (think of prime Niners Arik Armstead), but you could also kick him outside, and it would be pretty good, imo. He's at 25, I'd take him without a doubt.
Round 2 - Lee Hunter (Texas Tech IDL): The guy is a straight nose tackle who's amazing against the run. He's got a decent pass rush package, but I wouldn't say it's anything super special. He would be a very helpful part to a Bears' run defense that really struggled last season. Not sure he'd be a great pass rusher, but he would provide a decent push that would help out Montez and Booker/Dayo/Faulk. If you want to really see him, go rewatch the Oregon-TTU CFP game. He played really well, and that's what he could be moving forward.
Round 2 - AJ Haulcy (LSU Safety): I'm definitely higher on Haulcy than some, but I really like his ball skills. He had 5 picks his last year at Houston and 3 this past year at LSU. Bears got a space open next to Coby Bryant, and I think he could fit next to him really nicely. He's not exactly the world's most amazing tackler, but I think it's more angles than his overall effort or commitment, and can definitely be fixed.
Round 3 - Sam Hecht (Kansas State Center): Hecht is a smart center who would be a pretty awesome fit for Ben's offensive style. His measurables are fairly average across the board, but he's got a really solid motor and just plays and plays. One of the pro comps I saw for him was....Garrett Bradbury. So if they grab him, this might fit absolutely perfectly. Hecht sitting behind an established vet and learning the pro game would be perfect, especially for a player who relies on his smarts as much as he does.
Round 4 - Jude Bowry (Boston College Tackle): Bowry's a quick tackle who plays on his toes and is super explosive. He was a leader at BC and is pretty solid in the run game, but a little weaker in the pass game. His footwork is a tad inconsistent, but I think he's got some good potential and could be a decent swing tackle with potential for being a starter. The LT battle would be between Jones and Wills, but he could definitely contend for the job.
Round 7 - Domani Jackson (Alabama Cornerback): Jackson's a former five-star recruit who never really panned out at USC and transferred to Bama to get more playing time. He's an absolute burner at corner and played mostly press coverage outside at Bama, and could definitely use some seasoning and a lot of help. He's raw, but could find a niche on special teams, and honestly, at this point, you're looking for traits as well as upside. He's got both, but needs some work.
Round 7 - Kaden Wetjen (Iowa Receiver/Returner): I think everyone knows the Bears need return help, so why not grab the guy who was the literal best at it in college? He holds the record for kicks/punts returned at Iowa, and even played (albeit sparingly) at WR. I wouldn't count on him developing into a stud wideout, but I think he could be a very good returner, which in this new era of kickoffs, isn't nothing. It would be an excellent value pick at 241.
