The walls of self-protection you build around yourself become walls of self-imprisonment over time. - Sadhguru.
Self doesn't need protection. Misperceived self need protection.
In fact when we remain ignorant about self and fill that ignorance with whatever available in our perception then we create walls which in course of time become us or we convince ourselves very finely as defined by the walls.
Nothing, we just feel lost and try to console ourselves and after sometimes that consolation feels like reality and we continue hang onto it.
Like that, the extreme pain of ignorance get suppressed.
But, it keeps coming up here and there in every opportunity.
Then, we try to demolish it by fulfilling the wall's every need. The more we try, the more we get entangled.
And the pain remains as it is, at it's own place absolutely safe and secure.
Can't we look at it eye to eye.
What is our problem with knowing that we don't know?
It's as simple as that.
No?
Why do we fear ignorance?
Do you know?
