First off — love this community. Some of the most knowledgeable and genuinely helpful GR shooters on the internet are right here, and it shows in every thread.
If this has come up before, happy to be pointed to an existing thread!
I was out doing some street photography with my GR IV set to the high-contrast B&W image setting (default, no tweaks). When aiming up at a clear sky, I noticed what looks like a digital ND filter kicking in.
However, I know it's not the ND filter since I have it off. It's more like a digital exposure effect that's binary: either white sky or black sky, with a hard arc between them (most noticeable in the very last shot in this series).
The images themselves aren't bad — it's the unpredictability of the effect that bothers me. Is this a known behavior with this image setting, or could something be off with the camera? Curious if anyone else has run into this.
