I’ve been revising non stop and working so hard this year to get 3 As minimum in my AS exams. But last minute today, without even warning me prior, my college told me they won’t give me my extra time

I’ve literally used extra time the whole year?? And the previous 2 years at my old school and I have medical proof and the old form from my school which I sent to them ages ago. I wasn’t warned at all. I’m so upset, I worked so hard all year

I did my bio exam today but obviously I couldn’t finish 1/3 of the paper. And chem is tomorrow, the same will happen. I’ll be forced to take a gap year because of my college :( and I really don’t want to apply to foundation places with BBB or something. My college is strict too, they won’t predict anyone up at all. So even if you get high As in every exam during the year, they won’t predict you an A*. So there’s no way they’re predicting me my deserved As

I’m so upset, and we have no way of knowing our results till August which is so last minute. I’ll be so sad if I spent the entire summer stressing for a ucat that I would’ve even use because I can’t apply with my shit grades

Special consideration is only like 15% maxx. It’s so over, my luck is so ass

I keep scoring a B/C when I’m doing past papers and it’s always the calculation questions that trip me up

Any advice/recommended videos you’ve used (like allery chem or machemguy) for acing these and actually understanding what the question is asking you/how to convert units you haven’t been taught before. I struggle with these the most

- qmAT questions
- hess cycles
- titration Qs

Hopefully if I do these right I can jump to an A 😭
I’m doing AS edexcel

I’m really bad at remembering things so it would help a lot. The quotes I have so far don’t intersect a lot

I’m doing aqa A if anyone’s feeling generous and wants to give me resources 😭 also does anyone have some band 5 model essays for my spec

(Edexcel) Less than a week left before exams start and I’m freaking out. I’m working at an A for both bio and English lit so that’s fine, it’s just chem that’s taking the piss idk what I’m doing wrong. I’ve been doing past papers nonstop and I keep getting a B.

I know the content front to back so that’s not the issue, it’s just the complex topic 5 calculation questions that keep tripping me up I have no idea how to wrap my head around them. And the Hess cycles are 10000x more complicated in the past papers than in questions I’ve seen in class

I’m scared I won’t be able to apply to med this year :(

It’s in 4 days and I’ve been waiting since jan, when does it typically update? For the Golders green area

I do AQA A y12: Othello, Jane eyre, and love through the ages post 1900s anthology

I’ve not been revising at all for English this year to focus on my stem subjects so I’ve been getting Bs from my very first exam to my latest mocks. So I’m scared of getting a B again for my actual AS exams in 2 weeks

My biggest feedback from my teachers are:

- teacher one (JE + poems) = “the argument is present and analysis is good, you just need to sustain an academic critical tone throughout the whole essay. You start off good but as you near the end and rush, you begin to drop your academic tone” I asked her if I should do 2 poems instead of 3 as it takes me longer to structure my words, and she said that if I want a higher grade I HAVE to do 3 poems

- teacher two (Othello) = said “you have all the ingredients but not the sandwich” my analysis is good, but my argument/concepts/points are poor (except I don’t UNDERSTAND how they’re poor or how to pick better points.) so for example: Q is “iago and othello’s bond is stronger than Othello and Desdemona’s love, to what extend do you agree” my main points would be (with critics ofc)

Pag 1: Othello and desdemona’s love is transcendental and compassionate, genuine

Pag 2: however this is immediately shifted throughout the play to a broken one. He begins to view her as a devil like animalistic figure using exclamatory insulting language. He feels like a duty-bound executioner/revenger, detached from his previous love. This is due to iago’s manipulations (which O immediately trusts) and Othello’s internalised racism among white hegemony + hamartia and reputation

Pag 3: evidence that othello’s trust in iago and their bond overcomes desdemona’s love

Pag 4: alternative point is that he’s riddled with guilt during his scheming and when he finds out in the end, he’s extremely remorseful. Desdemona still loves and forgives him even right till the very end. So their love is arguably stronger, they just fell for I’s trap

So my questions are

- how to write/plan quicker so I don’t run out of time whilst still maintaining a good essay flow and structure

- what is wrong about my previous points/how can I view things differently?
