Any London restaurants with actually good weekday deals
Feels like more places are doing off-peak specials lately but most of the ones I’ve seen haven’t been anything amazing.

Been thinking a lot about this lately. Most of us in finance know the endowment model works, Yale and Harvard have decades of data proving it. The mix of private equity, private credit, real estate, and infrastructure alongside public markets is what separates real long-term compounding from a basic 60/40.
The problem is access. Institutions get the top tier managers at institutional share classes. Retail investors get... whatever's left, but it makes you wonder if there are practical ways to apply even a fraction of that same logic to a personal IRA or retirement account. Anyone working in this space have thoughts on whether that's genuinely achievable now or still mostly theoretical for the average person?
Woke up late for work and my garage door stopped halfway, just froze mid-way and won't go up or down. No weird noises beforehand, nothing obvious that I can see. Has anyone else had their garage door stopped halfway chicago weather or winter conditions could be messing with it? Not sure if it's the springs, the opener, or something else entirely.
Is this something I can troubleshoot myself or should I just call someone out? Worried about leaving my car stuck inside all day.
