Onboarding Call Expectations ..

I have my onboarding call this week, passed everything, now have the call booked in.
Assuming it’s to arrange start date for training. Just wondering how long is it usually before they give you a start date, is it a month later or do cohorts run every few months.
Also other than sorting a date what else gets discussed.
For context this is for a ‘Youth Justice Worker’ band 3. Think it’s very similar to a Prison Officer just in youth prison.
Also any info on Newbold Revel, such as what to expect (the none corporate take on it)
Any info would be great 👍

First Day Prison Officer

So after training can anyone give an honest take on the first week as a fully fledged PO?

Nervous?

Overwhelmed?

Stressed?

Enjoyable?

YJW Onboarding Call. Newbold Revel Training Dates

I have my call next week to arrange training dates. Passed everything, so it’s just sorting out when I start. 99% sure I’ll be going to Newbold Revel. How often are the cohorts, every month, every few months?
Hoping they offer late July/ Aug dates

Well got the green light, onboarding. Just awaiting to book a call to arrange start dates. Happened faster than expected.. Looks like by mid to late summer I’ll be off on my residential training.

Hey folks, 11 weeks since passing my OAC and had all the checks, passed medical etc for Youth Justice Worker. Just waiting for all clear now. Feel sort of alone in the process as all the posts here are for Prison Officers rather than Youth Justice Worker. I know it’s virtually same job but wondering if anyone else knows timescales on the onboarding email or call?
