Direct Connection Road Project Bellmawr had a significant lane shift over the weekend; Article with Photos and Video.
42freeway.comMy YT channel is approaching 7000 subs. I’ve been doing videos at irregular times and last payout was $350. But… I spent the last 18 mos more focused on TikTok (and Insta) with vertical videos
Well I am a blogger mostly and used that existing fanbase to feed my video platforms. I pushed a bit more into YT but mostly TT
My content is me… development news and fun new places with me as the storyteller .
What I finally determined…
I hate squeezing my thoughts into a 3 min vertical clip.
TikTok (27k) pays crap particularly after the US takeover.
Instagram (24k) pays me zero!
It’s cool to see the growth but the only path I see for my type of content in those vertical platforms is foodie influencer who charges businesses, and it’s not what I want to do
But then…. YouTube long format pays considerably better, and as mentioned I prefer the longer format (plus the flexibility if still doing shorts)…. And I already am getting decent payouts.
So I am going to shift focus to YouTube. Multiple long format videos a week.
I have 7k followers and a big funnel from my other creator platforms to see that grow faster…. I think YT will become a real second creator income for me
And I’m old…. So I don’t really care about building up a big TikTok following. I hope to be fully retired in a few years.
Not really sure of the question. But thinking about this while on a plane and wondering if others have come up with similar TikTok decisions
Is Club MoBay still worth it considering airport upgrades?
20 years ago traveling to Montego Bay Airport I remember it as small and lacking conveniences. One bar in the early 2000s? Today the modernized airport has a variety of restaurants and even a Wendy’s hamburger place… and the check in process was very easy in general.
Long story short we’re in Club MoBay for departure after a week of amazing Jamaican food… Clun MoNay offers more Jamaican food… and I’m thinking… I’d rather have a Wendy’s cheeseburger and sit at the round airport bar for what is likely less that $35 each.
US People who are doing food and travel videos at what point is it OK to claim them as real business expenses/deductionz?
Like at what level of income. And for those who don’t understand the IRS in the United States, who handles our income income tax process looks out for people that are just scamming it… They’re not really professional Youtubers or content creators and they just think they can get a tax deduction on their vacation
So for me, I’m a little closer to being OK I realize because I am a full-time content creator doing news in my regional area in Philadelphia and South Jersey
And honestly, when I write about a new restaurant opening, I’ve been claiming that as an expense for a couple years now
But now I’m sitting here in Jamaica on vacation and filming a tour of the resort and I’m wondering… Can I clean this as a business expense also?
I will check with my account and I know that’s gonna be a response but I thought I’d get some experience from others
