Hot take no east asians don't wanna look white, white girls don't wanna look black and black girls don't have "eurocentric features"
Idk where the stigma comes from when people say that east asians like korea, china and japan wanna look white when it's not true. They see "white" as the literal definition of paper white skin due to old beauty standards of wealthy people not working in the sun which makes it a "noble" trait. Most of the beauties who east asian people wanna look like are fully east asian girls and a lot of mixed white kpop idols in Korea are not popular and get ridiculed because they look too "foreign" or "rugged".
And where does the dispute come from of white girls wanting to look black? When did tanned skin = wanting to be black? Most of them just wanna look like they came from a vacation tanning in the sun because it's a sign of being healthy and active especially in countries like Australia and America. I'll admit the tanning does go way too far but I promise you it's not because they want to be black.
The whole thing about black girls having "eurocentric features" as well. That doesn't even make sense. A button or smaller nose doesn't equate to having eurocentric features. A black girl having well balanced features does not equate to her having some sort of hidden european ancestry or looking "eurocentric". I've seen people calling Anok yai eurocentric. Are you fucking crazy????!!!
In short I'm sick of people trying to make people of a specific race or ethnicity want to look like another race or ethnicity just because of their own close-minded thoughts and stereotypes of said race. It's kind of like wanting to feel superior in a way. Reminds me of how white anime fans think that mangakas make their characters look "white" and have the idea that all japanese people wanna be white even though most handsome anime mcs all look like a variation of a very handsome japanese actor.
