Tried Amiral Shawarma in Hull today after hearing there were new owners. They’ve expanded the menu and changed the beef recipe — apparently they’re using a different cut of steak now. I tried the beef shawarma and honestly thought it was really good.

They also mentioned they’re serving lamb now, which I’ll probably try next time. Prices seemed reasonable too ($8.99 for a shawarma).

Curious if anyone else has tried it since the ownership change.

I need to buy a nice birthday cake for a family member by next weekend. Any recommended bakeries? Where is the best place to get a good birthday cake? I’m thinking strawberry short cake or a Berry Chantilly cake. I’m open to any suggestions.

Preferably in Hull or somewhere not too far away. Willing to go to downtown Ottawa, or maybe Aylmer too.
