Standardizing workflows is a losing battle when every department buys their own software

I was brought in to streamline our internal processes but it is a complete nightmare because the marketing team uses Monday, the engineering team uses Linear, sales is entirely in Salesforce, and the executives just email everything.

Trying to run a cross functional initiative requires duplicating data across four different platforms and the integrations are constantly breaking.

Whenever I suggest migrating everyone to a single unified system the department heads revolt and claim that their specific tool is absolutely critical to their success.

How do you actually build a cohesive operational structure when the company operates like four completely independent fiefdoms.

Modular vs sealed battery generator for van life, honest breakdown after running both

Ran a sealed EcoFlow for a while. Loved it until thinking about what happens when the internal battery starts degrading became a real question with no good answer.

Sealed one is a genuinely a good product. App works, output is clean, solar input is solid, the company has real support infrastructure. If you want a proven brand with thousands of forum posts behind it, EcoFlow is not a wrong choice. I want to be clear about that upfront.

What modular changes is the end of life math and the extended use case. With a sealed unit the battery and the station degrade together. With the Worksport cor portable power station the battery is a fully separate hot-swappable LifePO4 unit. Pull out the depleted battery, drop in a charged one, the Worksport cor station keeps running. For full-time van life with daily cycling that architecture looks very different over 3 to 5 years than a sealed unit does.

The other thing that changed for me is cloudy days, when solar isn't keeping up you're draining and waiting. With swappable batteries you can take it somewhere to charge on shore power while the other keeps the van running. The station stays live, everything keeps running.

Worth being honest about the downsides: newer brand, less community knowledge, fewer third party reviews to cross reference. If you want something with years of forum troubleshooting behind it, EcoFlow still wins that comparison. The COR is the better long-term architecture but you're making a bet on a brand that hasn't been around long enough to prove it yet.

How to automate monthly financial reporting without a data engineer?

Every month I spend 30+ hours pulling data from qbo, harvest, hubspot, gusto, cleaning it, building reports in excel, making charts, pasting into slides. It's miserable. I'm a finance manager not a data engineer so building a warehouse isn't realistic.

How are other finance people automating this?
