I’m a semi-recent Mooncat convert. I got into Mooncat after realizing that I would be spending way too much money on salon gel manicures that I didn’t really love.

I’ve absolutely loved my Mooncat polishes but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t miss the *super* hard and long-lasting shine that came from gel polish and topcoats.

I’ve experimented with a few — sèche vite + Essie gel effect was my go-to for a while but I experienced some major shrinkage with a few polishes.

I’m currently trying out 2 coats Essie gel effect which so far doesn’t feel awful but isn’t quite hitting it.

If anyone has any suggestions I’m all ears!
